We buy mobile homes in Houston County, Tennessee
Houston County is one of Tennessee's smallest counties, sitting on the western bank of the Cumberland River with two incorporated towns and a lot of hollows in between.
The manufactured housing stock here
- Erin and Tennessee Ridge are the only two incorporated towns, so nearly everything else in the county is rural and unincorporated.
- Manufactured homes here sit on hillsides, in hollows and along river bottom roads, often on family acreage that has never been surveyed in the current generation.
- Steep terrain and long private drives are the practical constraint. Whether a truck can get a home in or out of the site is a real question here in a way it is not in the flat West Tennessee counties.

Can a transporter even reach the home?
In most counties, moving a manufactured home is a cost question. In Houston County it is often a feasibility question first. A single-wide sitting at the bottom of a quarter mile gravel drive with a switchback and a low limbed tree line may not be movable at any reasonable price.
That matters because it determines whether your home has value to someone who would relocate it, or only to someone who wants it where it stands. We will look at the access before we quote, and if the answer is that it cannot come out, we will tell you and price the property as land with a structure on it.
Family land with no current survey
Houston County acreage frequently passes down without a fresh survey, and boundaries live in memory and fence lines. When it comes time to sell, that gap has to be closed, and a survey plus title work costs real money on a modest property.
We tell people up front when the cost of clearing the paperwork approaches the value of what they are selling, because finding that out after paying a surveyor helps nobody.
River proximity and what it does to a set
Homes down in the Cumberland River bottoms deal with damp, shifting piers and slow floor damage even without a flood event. Homes up on the ridges deal with wind and access. Neither is a dealbreaker and both are things we check specifically here.
